Winter coldness is descending upon us. With heating costs on the rise, you may find yourself struggling to pay for them. Some will qualify for various government assistance programs and others won’t due to income level too high or other reasons. If you can’t get help through traditional programs you may receive help through New Jersey Shares program.
NJ Shares just received $1.3 million from the State to help needy New Jersey residents pay for electric and gas bills this winter. The program is designed to help those who do not qualify for other utility bill assistance programs.
If you have a temporary financial crisis due to unforeseen circumstances such as a job loss or illness, contact NJ Shares. Applications are reviewed by NJ Shares staff based on need.
